Mt Baw Baw Village Plan

Mt. Baw Baw Urban Design Framework, Mt Baw Baw

Land Design Partnership lead a consultant team in the preparation of a Framework for this Resort, to guide future growth and development within such a sensitive Alpine Environment. A range of urban design initiatives was developed to improve Village amenity and increase recreational activity year round. Key components of the study were to create a central Village hub, improve the main recreational Bowl area, and develop a strong pedestrian and skier link through the Village. Minimising environmental impacts underpinned all proposals.

Stage One saw the development of a new Mountain Sports Centre. Implementation of the second stage, involving a new visitors centre building and Village Square.

Dinner Plain Master Plan Review

Alpine Shire engaged Land Design Partnership to lead a collaborative design team in a strategic review of Dinner Plain. As the only alpine village on freehold land, Dinner Plain Village is subject to considerable development pressure. As such, a key objective of the Review was to review whether further development should occur and in what form and location. There were significant urban design and environmental challenges requiring consideration in determining recommended strategies for the future development of the Village.
